fruit coleslaw recipe

I found a food chopper in a storage unit that I bought last week. It’s made by Pampered Chef and was new in the box. I usually sell everything that I find in units but for some reason, I was mesmerized by this little device.

After I checked out a few YouTube videos to learn how it works, I was ready to start chopping anything and everything. Most of the videos were of people talking for too long about how it works, how you can clean it, blah blah blah. I wanted to see what all it could chop! So, I made my own video of me chopping a bunch of random items with it. You can view the video here.

One of those items happened to be apples. I recently watched an episode on Sugar Showdown about a lady who used fruit coleslaw in her donuts. I’m not sure how good the pairing of the two are but it put me in the mood for some fruit coleslaw.

Since it’s starting to get warmer out, fruit coleslaw is something that we are going to be eating a lot more of at my house. It’s quick, easy, and healthy.

Then, I remembered that I just found that nifty food chopper in the storage unit and boom! It was an idea for a blog post. So here is my recipe for a quick and easy fruit coleslaw.

Easy Fruit Salad Coleslaw

Easy Fruit Coleslaw Recipe:

1 red apple, chopped
1 green apple, chopped
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 cup red seedless grapes, halved
1 cup slaw dressing
lemon juice (1-2 tsp)

Directions:

  1. Put ingredients in bowl.
  2. Spray with lemon juice.
  3. Mix with a spoon.
  4. Chill in refrigerator for at least one hour & up to 8 hours.

Told ya it was easy! The longest part is chopping your fruits and nuts but with my Pampered Chef food chopper, it seriously only took me like a total of 5 minutes.

Ever since then, I have been using my food chopper frequently. Now I can bust out salads in no time!
