I signed up to receive a free trial of The Honest Company and only paid shipping for what I received in the mail. I ordered the scent-free laundry packs, which came in a 50-count bag. I also received Honest trial sized: wipes, organic healing balm, face + body lotion, multi-surface cleaner, hand soap, and body wash + shampoo.

The Honest Company 4-in-1 Laundry Packs Review

The Honest Company is well known for their diapers and for also being earth-friendly. I was really excited when they came out with their household cleaning products and laundry care products. I have been making an effort to go “green” as much as possible.

My son and I have allergies and also extremely sensitive skin. Right now, we only use homemade laundry detergent (you can find the recipe here) or Tide. The 4-in-1 laundry packs are said to be biodegradable, hypoallergenic, non-toxic, septic safe, and effective in all temperatures. They are also free of dyes, fragrances, formaldehyde, chlorine, and a few other chemicals.

My Review of The Honest Company 4-in-1 Laundry Packs:

Once I opened the package, I was impressed with the texture of the laundry packs. Every pack was in tact and fully packed hard. I washed a regular-sized load of colored shirts and a hoodie. Once they were finished washing, I carefully inspected the texture of the clothes and noticed that they felt great. I hate when detergents make your clothes feel rough or crunchy after a wash. Luckily, our clothes were soft and clean.

Even though these packs are scent-free, I had to smell our clothes anyway. They didn’t have a strong smell coming off of them so I had to place my nose directly on a shirt. It smelled like a wet shirt but also clean and fresh. I hate overpowering smells and love the fact that these packs made my clothes clean without putting off a pungent odor. Here is what one of the packs looks like:

After I dried this load, I folded all of the shirts. They were all clean and the color looked great. The laundry pack did not seem to have any harsh effects to our clothes, which can happen with a lot of detergents.

I wore one of the shirts to bed to try it out on my skin. I didn’t have any problems sleeping and my skin felt and looked like it normally does.

All in all, I love these laundry packs. I plan on purchasing these again and possibly replace what we use currently with only The Honest Company.

If you are interested in ordering a free trial of one of several options from The Honest Company, you can use my link here. You only pay $5.95 for shipping and handling. It seems that they offer various different packages so the laundry packs may or may not be available currently. Please make sure that you scroll to the bottom and read how their subscription service works.

    1. Wow! This is an interesting post as we use Cal Ben products which last for quite awhile, yet I’ve considered making our laundry detergent in the future. The Honest Company definitely sounds like a good option to try out though! 🙂
